Prada went with a ’50s/’60s inspired collection for spring 2012 with a fiery edge. This short film which was unveiled back in February, perfectly reflects the mood of the collection as women in soft sorbet shades battle it out alongside those in jewels and printed pieces.
These images in this post are from the fantasy lookbook for ss12. They are actually photos taken by Phil Meech backstage at the spring show back in September and then reworked in to a collage by Jeroen Koolhaas and Lok Jansen. They feature catwalk names like Lindsey Wixson, Ruby Aldridge, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Fei Fei Sun, and Daphne Groeneveld
I think the finished result is great and looking at the collection now you realise the impact Miuccia Prada continues to have on the High Street. Pastel is definitely the most popular trend of SS12 (already) and these pieces encapsulate the feminine feel perfectly. Do you like these collages?
