I have long been a fan of Rupert Sanderson’s shoes. I have attended countless press days and fallen in love every season with his beautifully crafted, Italian made shoes. I even set up an interview with him on rollerskates and watched one of my best friends get married in his shoes. So it seemed about time that I had a pair for myself!
At the SS12 press day, I fell in love with these kibo wedge sandals in turquoise. Ever since I got them, I have been studying the meticulous detailing including the zig-zag stitching along the leather, the woven wedge and the slight curve on the outside of the heel. They feature in our new flat as a piece of artwork rather than being stashed away in the cupboard with my other shoes.
Also, they’re the perfect shoe for wandering the cobbled streets of Sevilla in. This weekend I wore the shoes around town for my once a week ice-cream treat at Rayas (on Calle Almirante Apodaca) along with my newest flat mate – Bombon the chihuahua! You can see how much he likes a sugary treat below.
