Flower Girl
This weekend, I attended a family wedding (his, not mine) in Bromsgrove. I’m not one of those people that just loves weddings and would attend a stranger’s wedding just to get involved, but I do love getting dressed up. There are not many occasions when I can wear my favourite frock and attempt to make my hair look fancy, but this was one of them! I decided to wear my silk, floral print Celia Birtwell for Topshop wrap dress.
It’s from the first collection (about summer 2006) and I was there for the launch – elbows at the ready! I am a big fan of Ossie Clark so was naturally very excited for this collaboration and still love pieces from it now (I have a few). There were a few sunny moments on Sunday so we stepped outside in to the amazing English country gardens. I wish I’d taken my lomo with me, but it wouldn’t quite squeeze in to my clutch.
My favourite aspect of the dress is the open back detailing. It’s a nice way to reveal a bit of flesh and it gives the dress a more summery feel.
